Configuring & Installing Tracking Devices

• Before installation ensure that you have a sim card that has the following
  1. Data bundles are loaded
  2. Sim card is unlocked
  3. Note the imei number of the device
  4. Note the line number for the sim card
• Configure the Internet settings for the device

Example: Kenya: Safaricom APN internet settings

Name: Safaricom
APN: safaricom
Username: saf
Password: data

Teltonika SMS Server Setup:

Recommended: SMS configuration as Primary server
setparam 2010:2;2004:jahazi.com;2005:5027;113:1;2001:safaricom;2002:saf;2003:data

SMS configuration as duplicate backup server
setparam 2010:2;2007:jahazi.com;2008:5027;113:1

For teltonika devices set the protocol CODEC to 8 Extended (8E)

How to assign a driver to vehicle

Note:

Ensure you have configured and installed the tracking device on the vehicle

1. Click on the Vehicles Tab on the Sidebar
2. Select the Manage GPS Devices
3. Enter the details of the Device

• Name
• Imei
• Phone line number
• Device type
• Select vehicle to which device is installed
